About Chaya Chess Academy
Chaya Chess Academy is an affiliated unit of the Guwahati Chess Association and was established on the 3rd of September 2017. The Academy is founded by international FIDE-rated and All India Chess Federation (AICF) certified coach Mr. Punit and his co-founder U-25 Nationals Bronze Medalist Mr. Shashank.

Why Chess?
Chess is one of the oldest games in the world and its history can be traced nearly 1500 years back. Research and studies done by experts prove that learning and playing chess helps in the growth and development of the brain.
